From January till May 2005 the Ukrainian-Hungarian regional development Centre together with the Hungarian village and agrotourism association and with the hungarian fund EuroClip assistance implements common cross-border project on village tourism development in Zakarpattya county.

The main objective of the project is to initiate the village tourism complex informational assistance system creation in Upper-Tisza region. This informational system is to promote village touristic services available in the target region and to attract foreign tourists to Ukraine. By this way an essential resource potential could be involved into one of the main economic spheres development.

In the frame of this project the village tourism data base is to be created and allocated on the web-page. The project also presumes publication of trilingual touristic map of the Upper-Tisza region (Zakarpattya county and Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg megye). This map should include information from the mentioned data base.

One of the main activities of the project is the regional conference on support and development of tourism as well as the village tourism. The conference takes place on 22 April 2005 in Uzhhorod (Ukraine). The representatives of Ukrainian and Hungarian governments, of local and regional authorities and other organizations concerned (both from Ukraine and Hungary) are invited to take part in this conference.
